How we work this out
- Each board is 290cm × 15cm and covers 0.435m².
- We add your cutting allowance and round up to whole boards.
- Fasteners: one clip where each row of boards crosses a joist, plus 5% spare, in packs of 80.
- End trims are 290cm long and cover the edges you choose.

How to lay your decking

Prepare the base
Build a level, well-drained subframe of joists. Check the fitting instructions for joist spacing and leave room for air to flow underneath.
Tip: Use the calculator above to match your fastener quantity to your joist spacing. -
Clip the boards down
Fix each board to the joists with the hidden fasteners, which sit in the groove along the board edge. Keep an even gap between boards.
Tip: Pick which textured face you want on top before you start. -
Finish the edges
Cut your last boards to size and cover the exposed edges with end trims for a neat, finished look.
Tip: End trims come in 290cm lengths, the same as the boards.

Our hidden decking fasteners clip into the groove in each board and fix down to the joists, so no screws show on the surface. They come in packs of 80, and the calculator tells you how many packs to order.
